UNM Robb Trust Underwriting Opportunity Closes July 1

If you have a project that aligns with the Robb Trust's mission and using the John Donald Robb Collections housed in the Center for Southwest Research and Special Collections (CSWR), you might be eligible for a grant or underwriting up to $3,000!

The John Donald Robb Collections, housed in the University of New Mexico's CSWR, includes an online archive of field recordings which may align with your research. Underwriting has supported a variety of projects, from articles on John Donald Robb's work making field recordings, all the way to the reconstruction of Spanish Colonial dances and their significance for New Mexico. Work with the archives, develop existing research, realize a music project that aligns with the Mission of the UNM Robb Trust. We want to hear from you!

Mission
The Mission of the Trust, in collaboration with UNM, is to support the music and musical legacy of John Donald Robb, to further his inspiring commitment to education, and to advance the understanding of music of the Southwest.

From the guidelines, which can be found here:
Proposals made by individuals or organizations must fulfill one or more of the following criteria:

1. Support the study, propagation, production, and/or performance of the music of John Donald Robb.
2. Support John Donald Robb's commitment to education and to advance the understanding of music of the Southwest.

Proposals will be judged based on how closely the proposed project represents the underwriting criteria.

Additional evaluation criteria are quality and clarity of the project; overall plan, management of project components, methods for evaluating success and proposed outcome or impact.

A brief (500 words) progress report will be required at the mid-point of the project and no later than February 1 for second disbursement. The reports should include expenditures with receipt back-up (when applicable) as well as progress toward goals and objectives. All recipients are required to submit a final written report on the results of the project, including expenditures (and remaining receipts) of underwriting funds.
