The Musical Adventures of John Donald Robb in New Mexico (2008) New Mexico PBS Roaming the countryside of the Southwest during the 1940s and 50s, composer John Donald Robb recorded and transcribed over 3,000 Hispano folk songs, the largest collection of its time. Watch the half-hour documentary celebrating the life of this adventurous musician - İCOLORES! The Musical Adventures of John Donald Robb in New Mexico. The screening will be followed by: A live performance of selections from John D. Robb’s "Joy Comes to Deadhorse," the precursor to The Fantasticks On Broadway and performed by the New Mexico Performing Arts Society under direction of Franz Vote *7:00 p.m. - Bank of America Theatre Dessert reception to follow All concerts and events will be held at the National Hispanic Cultural Center and are free of charge and open to the public. *Free tickets must be picked up at the box office, which opens an hour prior to events in the Journal Theatre and the Bank of America Theatre (11/13 at 6:30 p.m and 11/14 at 6:00 p.m.).
