St. Louis Bach Society Schedules Robb Requiem

John Donald Robb's Requiem will make its St. Louis debut when the piece is performed by The Bach Society of Saint Louis at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday April 29 at Ladue Chapel Presbyterian Church. The 1985 composition will be featured along with a new work by Stephen Mager, composer-in residence with the society. Mager's piece, Te Deum,will be performed by the Bach Society Chorus with David Erwin on organ.

The Requiem, composed when Robb was 93, was his last major composition. It was created “In Memory of Mother, Father, and Eight Brothers & Sisters”. Robb Trust board member James Bratcher recently edited and arranged the Requiem for Organ and Choir.
