Composers' Symposium 2012The works of more than 40 modern composers with ties to New Mexico will be featured from Thursday March 22 through Thursday March 29 at the 2012 John Donald Robb Composers' Symposium. Guest artists will include Emanuele Arciuli, pianist; Gamelan Encantada; Kay Stonefelt, percussion; and Artists in Residence the Del Sol String Quartet. Performances will take place in venues across Albuquerque and Santa Fe.

5th Biennial Composers' Competition 2012

There is no age limit, and students are welcome to apply. The winning composer must be present at the 2013 Composers' Symposium for the acceptance of the award and for a performance of his/her composition. |

Del Sol Quartet Joins Composers’ SymposiumThe Del Sol String Quartet, a boundary-breaking chamber ensemble, will be in residence at the 2012 John Donald Robb Composers’ Symposium, which will take place from Sunday March 25-Wednesday March 28. In addition to performing in several concerts, the musicians will present master classes for UNM students. |

St. Louis Bach Society Schedules Robb RequiemJohn Donald Robb's Requiem will make its St. Louis debut when the piece is performed by The Bach Society of Saint Louis at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday April 29 at Ladue Chapel Presbyterian Church. The 1985 composition will be featured along with a new work by Stephen Mager. |

We watched the KNME-TV documentary about John Donald Robb today in class.
